Williamson Gynecology values the patient-provider relationship that we have with our patients and we take their health care needs seriously. We utilize an Advanced Care Team that works in conjunction with the medical provider to address our patients’ needs to help you take charge of your healthcare.
Our Triage Registered Nurse, has over 30 years of nursing experience. We are able to accommodate same-day appointments for those with an immediate medical need. In addition to seeing patients, she is available by telephone and secure Patient Portal messaging during normal business hours to address questions or to assess patient symptoms to determine if an appointment is needed.
Our Certified Medical Assistants, assist the medical provider with healthcare delivery. They provide healthcare coordination by recording and reconciling medications, documenting health history and providing patient education. All members of our Advanced Care Team ensure that our patients receive the care they need, that they understand their medical condition, their prescribed medications and other instructions given by the medical provider.
Our Scheduling Coordinator works together with our Patient Care Coordinators and Triage Nurse to assist patients in scheduling recommended screening tests and specialist consultations. We review and communicate test results and consultation reports with you, and if necessary, we recommend further medical services. It is important for you to retain a primary care provider to work closely with us in providing timely and recommended medical services.
We strive to maintain convenient office hours for your care. In an effort to improve communications and streamline referrals, Williamson Gynecology has co-management agreements with the following partners to provide support beyond our normal hours or scope of expertise:
- For non-emergent after hours care, we recommend FirstHealth Convenient Care Centers. There are several convenient locations and all can be reached at 910.715.5100.
- For emergent after hours care, we recommend a nearby FirstHealth Hospital or CALL 911.
- For your emotional support needs, we recommend FirstHealth Behavioral Services. They can be reached at 910.715.3370.
